Whilst animal poison control services are heavily utilized in the US and the UK, there is currently no animal poison centre operational within Australasia. Our team at the Australian Animal Poisons Centre are working very hard behind the scenes to open a long overdue service before the end of the year. We will provide rapid, up-to-date and evidence-based advice to pet owners and veterinarians for poisoned animals. The service will be FREE for all Australian pet owners. We aim to revolutionise the management of poisoned animals in Australia and reduce the morbidity and mortality that is associated with animal poisoning.
