Jose R. Soler, M.D., FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care. He specializes in noninvasive and nuclear cardiology, with additional expertise in cardiovascular imaging, clinical informatics and consultative cardiac care. His approach emphasizes diagnosing and managing cardiovascular disease using advanced imaging, evidence-based evaluation and long-term management strategies. Dr. Soler earned his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School after graduating magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and psychology. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Overlook Hospital, an affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at The Medical College of Pennsylvania. Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Soler also is certified in nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography and clinical informatics. In addition to his clinical work, he has served in physician leadership roles supporting electronic health record implementation, computerized provider order entry and evidence-based clinical decision support systems across multiple healthcare organizations. Dr. Soler works closely with cardiologists, primary care physicians and referring providers to ensure seamless transitions of care for shared patients. He takes time to listen to his patients, explain findings in clear, understandable terms and develop individualized care plans that reflect each patient’s goals, values and overall health. Outside of work, Dr. Soler enjoys listening to audiobooks, especially science fiction and mystery novels, following local sports teams such as the Miami Dolphins and streaming good TV series.
