I moved to the “Forgotten Coast” with my husband 26 years ago with a 1 1⁄2-year-old and 5 months pregnant with my second child. I have had many experiences here in this small town of Port St Joe. As a mom, I can say that the freedom to allow your kids to explore and not worry about them was priceless. When my kids both started school, I worked as a certified residential appraiser until it became a 24 hour a day and 7 days a week job.
