The Cystic Fibrosis Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Our team of pediatric cystic fibrosis specialists evaluate and treat children from birth until age 18. Most children will have four visits to our center per year. During these visits, a child is evaluated by a pulmonology physician, a respiratory therapist and a dietitian. In addition, a child and his or her parent will periodically meet with a clinical social worker, a pharmacist and the nurse practitioner or clinic coordinator. During these visits, a detailed plan of medical, nutritional and respiratory care for the child is developed and discussed with their parent.
