Luke Petrosky Sr. opened Comfort Center in Grayling in 1975. His son currently owns 3 locations in Grayling and Prudenville, with the 3rd generation brothers managing the Gaylord store. Comfort Centers are all family-owned and are not a large franchise or impersonal chain. There are numerous Comfort Centers in Northern Michigan which are all still owned by the Petrosky family.
