Ashley Martin is passionate about helping people feel their best in mind and body. Growing up in McDonough County, Illinois, she appreciates the close-knit feel of rural communities and enjoys being part of that connection through her work in mental health.

After becoming a nurse and earning her Family Nurse Practitioner certification, Ashley took a strong interest in mental health. That led her to pursue additional training, and she became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since then, she’s focused on providing compassionate, holistic care for her patients.

Ashley knows taking the first step toward mental health support isn’t easy. That’s why she works to create a space where patients feel comfortable sharing their stories, to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing their wellbeing.

“It can be challenging to ask for help for mental health, but it is just as important as seeing any other health care professional,” Martin says. “That’s why I take time to listen to each individual and identify what they need from me.”

When she’s not caring for patients, Ashley loves exploring the Midwest with her family. Whether it’s camping, hiking, or finding quirky attractions like underground salt mines or wolf sanctuaries, she’s always up for an adventure.
