I chose a career in Nursing because I knew early on in my life that I valued taking care of people. Choosing to go a step further and become a Nurse Practitioner within the Cardiology team gives me the opportunity to more adequately help my patients meet their health goals by providing them with the most up-to-date, evidencebased heart care. Providing the highest quality of care to my patients also affords me the opportunity to give back to people and families in my community.

My patient and family relationships are the most rewarding part of my career. These relationships offer me a better understanding of the impact a heart event or illness has on my patient’s quality of life. This better understanding enables me to help my patients to thrive and it allows them to be present for the moments in life that are most important to them.
