Captain John Thibeault and crew invite you for a 2-hour sail on beautiful Saco Bay aboard the 37' "restored wooden ketch rig" vintage sailing yacht 'Lodesterre'; up to 6 passengers enjoy a relaxing sail cruising past picturesque islands, Wood Island Lighthouse, seals, an occasional pod of porpoises, or even a whale have many times been seen. We sail daily at 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm. Reservations can be made by calling.
Saco Daysails takes parties of up to 6 people out on the Saco River from Camp Ellis in Saco, Maine.
Two-hour cruises are scheduled daily weather permitting, to depart at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. from the Saco Pier in Camp Ellis at the mouth of the Saco River.
Captain John has a wealth of knowledge about the Saco River area and the islands. (since John grew up in Saco Bay and his grandfather was a boat builder) If you ask, I am sure he would love to share that history with you.
