LVHN Center for Counseling Services–Schuylkill is an outpatient program that provides services to individuals experiencing substance abuse problems. Our center is devoted to meeting the needs of patients by offering professional counseling in a caring environment.
Our Services
Outpatient individual and group counselingYou will be assigned a counselor who will develop a treatment plan to meet your needs and include your goals for treatment. The plan is modified throughout the treatment process. Group counseling offers the opportunity for you to meet with others with similar life experiences and learn how to use the support of others.
Assessment and referralA complete biopsychosocial history is completed to identify your needs and the appropriate level of care to meet your needs. Referral is made to other levels of care as appropriate.
Medication assisted treatmentWorking with prescribing physicians in our Lehigh Valley Physician Group practices, patients can be prescribed medications to help establish and maintain abstinence while working on recovery. Coordination of care occurs between the prescribing physicians and the counseling center providing comprehensive treatment.
Alcohol highway safety programCounseling Center provides Alcohol Highway Safety Program services including the required court reporting network evaluation and assessment for the courts. Alcohol Highway Safety Program classes meeting the state’s requirements of educational content and length are provided.
Certified Recovery ServicesCertified Recovery Support services introduce you to resources to promote your recovery.
Case ManagementCase management services provide linkage to ancillary (support) services in the community.
Nicotine cessation programWe offer support and guidance to help you quit nicotine.
Admission
Patients may refer themselves or be referred to us by another treatment agency or health care professional.
Referrals to our program may be made by calling 570-622-5898 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Insurance
The cost for these services is covered by most insurance programs.
