Captain Jay Childers has charter fished locally for over 30 years.
Captain Jay is a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in the Pacific Fleet and with the Atlantic Fleet SeaBees. Depending on the season we fish for redfish, tarpon, black sea bass, trout, snapper and even shark fishing!
His experience includes:
- full-time chartering for the old Sea Island Company
- artificial reef building
- SCUBA diving
- fish tagging for Georgia DNR
Captain Jay maintains flexibility in scheduling departures, returns, and itineraries to meet the needs of his clients. He fishes 25' vessels powered by Yamaha Outboards that are equipped with modern electronics and all safety gear required by the Coast Guard.
