She has special expertise in the treatment of acute pain, ultrasound guided Regional Anesthesia, and is the director of the Acute Pain Service at the University of Utah. She is a member of the Anesthesia Liver Transplant team. She is able to apply her knowledge of Echocardiography in the acute setting of liver transplant and traumas. Dr. Loose practices at the University Hospital, University Orthopedic Center, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Health System.
