Integrative health or integrative healthcare reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient. Integrative health focuses on the whole person, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic and lifestyle approaches. At the Osher Center for Integrative Health within University of Utah Health, the center leads efforts to move the system beyond conventional “sick care” toward a model that supports optimal health and well-being. Through a whole-person, human-centered approach, the center advances integrative health and workplace well-being across campus and throughout the Mountain West, offering programs and services that emphasize workplace well-being, whole-person health, and preventive and wellness programming.
