Founded in 1979 by 19-year-old Demosthenes "Demo" Karagas, Demo's Greek Food started in Castle Hills, San Antonio, with a vision to share authentic Greek flavors. The restaurant quickly became a local favorite, with Demo’s mother, Lucille Karagas, a first-generation Greek American, playing a key role in the restaurant’s development. The family’s commitment to excellence, inspired by Lucille’s mother, Victoria Eugenides, whose recipes were renowned for their authenticity, is at the heart of Demo’s success. Today, Demo’s Greek Food proudly serves delicious, traditional Greek dishes, with two additional locations and a loyal customer base, carrying on the legacy of great food and family tradition.
