Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers patients the opportunity to engage in in-depth counseling in a variety of therapeutic settings. The patient receives 9 hours of weekly group therapy, in addition to 2 hours of individual and family therapy. In our Individual Therapy sessions, the patient is given the opportunity to discuss issues, challenges, and emotional roadblocks that the patient might find too painful to discuss in a group environment. Furthermore, the individual sessions allow patients to explore in-depth any breakthroughs that might have occurred in group or couples therapy. Individual sessions are essential for patients who suffer from ongoing emotional instability, or feel as though they are particularly at risk for relapse.
