Dorrie Swanson, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with extensive experience diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. At Finding Focus Psychiatry, a Nursing Corporation, in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, Dr. Swanson delivers individualized care to adults throughout the Bay Area.
Dr. Swanson earned her bachelor’s in science from the prestigious Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, before obtaining her nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University (FNU) in Hyden, Kentucky.
She ultimately moved to the Bay Area, where she earned her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner credentials from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
Dr. Swanson understands the challenges of finding a qualified mental health care provider with the availability and training to meet patients where they are. That’s why she focuses on providing individualized care through telehealth appointments. Dr. Swanson has the experience and credentials to offer medication management and multiple types of therapy.
She performs comprehensive mental health evaluations and coaching to ensure patients receive effective stress-free mental health care. As an attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) specialist, Dr. Swanson can help patients manage their symptoms through therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
