John's Bascom Automotive is fully family owned and operated, since 1972 These days John and Mike share responsibility in the day-to-day operations of the business. Both John and Mike currently hold Smog Licenses and multiple ASE certifications. They both split their time between running the business and working on vehicles. John started working in the oil industry after graduating high school and spending some time working in Yosemite. He was then drafted for the Vietnam War and spent two years overseas. Mike Rockafellow worked for his father in the service station during the 80s before enlisting in the Navy. Upon returning home from multiple Pacific tours, Mike returned to the service station to work full time.
