Cottage Women's Heart Clinic, part of Cottage Medical Group, is the first specialty clinic of its kind in Santa Barbara County designed to address the unique needs of women's heart health. According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in women, responsible for one in three deaths each year. And according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 60 million women-a total of 44 percent of all women-in the United States are living with some form of heart disease.
