Krysia Designs is a stained glass studio located in Santa Fe, NM. It has been a "working glass studio" since 1987. Originally, I’m from Connecticut and have lived and worked in the Graphic Design industry, in the "Tri State” areas of CT, NYC and MA. While living in Florida, I learned the art of stained and leaded glass, and changed my art focus from graphic design to stained glass. In 1988, the first "Krysia Designs" Glass Studio opened in Tarpon Springs, Florida. A few years later, after moving back to my home state of CT, I continued to work on various commissions for both residential and commercial applications.
By working and exhibiting in various shows and galleries, I have had the chance to perfect my craft. I like to share my glass craft with others, who may also be intrigued by the beauty found in glass. The medium can readily change its color and hues, depending on the amount of light and its source. I also enjoy designing 3-dimensional objects such as lamps and other “functional” pieces, which can bring some “color and sparkle” into our everyday lives.
