About

"Alicia has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Florida State University, where she worked as a Research Assistant until 2012. After serving countless families as a hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nanny and Newborn Care Specialist, she experienced the need for compassionate and personalized care during the postpartum period. Since completing fertility, birth, and postpartum doula training at Bebomia in 2019, she has been supporting Seattle families as a Doula, Advanced Newborn Care Specialist (NCSA), Lactation Educator (CAPPA), and Sleep Consultant (Summer's Sleep Secrets). She helps families meet their unique goals with an emphasis on emotional and physical support to foster rest and recovery, while empowering parents to make the best choice for their family with evidence-based tools and information. Alicia has supported families with postpartum mood disorders, premature infants, infants with special needs, multiples, as well as integrating trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+, cultural, and body type inclusivity. She is always learning something new to bring to her families and is excited to join the Newborn Care Solutions Elite NCS program in 2021. In her free time, Alicia enjoys world-travel, spending time outdoors with her wife and dog, participating in professional communities and mentorship, and devouring as many books as she can."
