I caught 3 great bands last night at The High Dive in Fremont.

A fantastic weekend of recording, mixing, and producing here at Quiet Please Recording.

This is one is the greatest multitrack recording systems ever assembled in the history of recording arts. I could have owned a Bentley and a Ferrari, but instead, I invested in something to serve the artists and musicians in my community, by outfitting Quiet Please Recording with the finest production tools available from the past and the future.

With this tape I thee wed… Pro Tools 2022.10 with Ampex MM-1200, 1977. Thank you Endless Analog CLASP.

I’m getting ready to start a big soldering project for a very cool upgrade to my vintage Ampex MM-1200 tape machine here at Quiet Please Recording. I decided I needed to upgrade my soldering iron and retire the old one. The old one gave me 15 years of great service… “Respect 🤛!” But I expect that this new Metcal MX-5000 will out perform it in every way. Two different sets of editing tools here. I’m perfectly balancing my stance with one foot firmly in 2023, and the other in 1967 tonight. That’s how I roll over here at Quiet Please Recording.

I was just in my home town of Visalia, CA for a few days to gather with a group of friends-for-life. I brought records with me to share, copies of vinyl LPs, and CDs, and Cassette Tapes that I have produced over the years at Quiet Please Recording. On the way out of town I gave all that was left over to Adam at Velouria Records to put on the shelves for sale.
