HCP Electrical Company started in October 1998 in Shirley, Indiana. The business was started by Wendell Hester. Wendell was raised on a farm in Shelby County, he was in 4-H, FFA, and Boy Scouts. He graduated from Morristown High School, has attended Indiana Vocational Technical College, has had many continuous hours of additional education and continues to attend seminars and training classes.How he got started Wendell had 20 plus years experience in Industrial Maintenance at the time he started his business.In the beginning he would do wiring jobs of an evening and on week-ends. In just a few short months he went full time.In October 2001 HCP became a GoodCare Dealer, selling Goodman Air Conditioning & Heating equipment and offering warranty repairs service. HCP became an Armstrong Air dealer in 2014. In October 2006 HCP joined with the Generac Power Systems Family as a Guardian Dealer. Philosophy HCP has always focused on their customers needs. It is with pride that they are able to work closely with and in their community. Helping others is a very important part of their life. By remaining small, they get to talk with the customers first hand.
