About Kenneth Raderstorf III
While in his early 20s, when he was working as a firefighter and doing EMS training, Kenneth Raderstorf decided he wanted a career in medicine.
He earned his Bachelor of Science of Nursing at Indiana University, Bloomington. Five years later, he graduated from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, with his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kenneth’s philosophy as a provider is “primum non nocere,” which is Latin for “First, do no harm.” He describes his approach to practicing medicine as conservative. “I’ve learned to never jump to conclusions before completing a patient assessment,” he says.
His medical career has been in emergency departments where he worked as a registered nurse, a nurse practitioner, and a nurse manager. He has coordinated care with multi-discipline teams of physicians, nurses and ancillary services.
Patients have taught him that everyone is an individual. What works for one person won’t necessarily work for the next, he says.
