Dr. Pantalena received his medical degree and doctorate degree in developmental biology from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He completed his residency in dermatology at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, and his fellowship in dermatologic surgery at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. A passionate researcher, Dr. Pantalena has published academic articles in both basic science and applied dermatological surgery.
He is board-certified in dermatology. Dr. Pantalena is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. This means that he has completed over 1,500 surgical cases, including over 1,000 facial surgeries. In addition, Dr. Pantalena places all stitches himself.
