I am a physical therapist at University of Vermont Medical Center, specializing in orthopedics. My focus of treatment is managing patients with musculoskeletal pain and injuries and in post orthopedic spine surgery and spine rehabilitation. I also treat patients who have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) — the most common cause of vertigo. My treatment techniques may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, education in static and dynamic movement mechanics and if needed other modalities. My research interests lie in the treatment of lower back pain.I find fulfillment in knowing I have assisted my patients in returning to their prior lifestyle allowing them to enjoy life and the activities they want to participate in. My approach is to listen to my patients and learn about their goals and help them work towards achieving them. I focus on developing independence in self-care through a therapeutic exercise-based program.
