Steps Dance & Performing Arts offers Ballet/Pointe Jazz Technique Contemporary Lyrical Tumbling Hip Hop Breakdance Ballroom Musical Theatre Summer Dance Ladies Jazz/Lyrical Performing Arts Preschool PreDance (ages 3-4) performing class Fun Combo class teaches basic Ballet, Jazz, Tumbling or Tap depending on the day dancers attends. KinderDance (ages 4-5) Performing class Inspiring Combo class teaches Ballet, Jazz & Tumbling or Tap along with Flexibility & Performance. Tumble Hop (ages 3-5) performing class Cool Hip Hop & Tumbling class also teaches Pop & Lock, coordination, Rhythm & basic Breakdance. Tumbling (ages 6 +) Awesome Tumbling class to help students build strength & learn to tumble from Cartwheels to Aerials. Ballet/Jazz (ages 6 +) performing class Great Combo class for dancers wanting to experiment with different styles & learn fun routines. Hip Hop (ages 6 +) performing class Fun & clean Hip Hop class with Pop & Lock, Hip Hop & Breakdance techniques. Break dance (ages 6 +) This class teaches strength building, break dance technique and terminology, some tumbling and fun break dance choreography Kids Ballroom (ages 6 +) performing class Boys and girls working together as partners helps them learn to cooperation and to have respect for each other. Dancers learn 2 to 3 Ballroom styles. Youth Musical Theatre (ages 6 - 18) Vocal, Dance & Acting. These amazing performers put on a complete Musical, Play with acting, singing, Broadway choreography. Ballet Technique & Pointe This is a fun ballet class that focuses on correct classical ballet technique. The class enhances student’s physical and mental discipline while re-affirming posture, body alignment, flexibility and strength. Jazz Technique This fun class introduces new turns, leaps, jumps & tricks to students who want to challenge themselves along with practicing and perfecting the basics. Students work on flexibility and conditioning every week. These classes are open to everyone but require for ALL team members. Steps Company Hip Hop Crew Teams Jazz & Lyrical Teams (Ages 5 +) These dedicated dancers have many opportunities to perform from city festivals to fundraisers & Recitals. Dancers compete in 3 competitions in the Spring along with inspiring workshops. We at Steps Strongly encourage good sportsmanship; being positive, respect of others talents & working as a team. These students learn how to work hard for something, never give up and reap the much earned rewards which includes confidence in themselves. Because of the dedication and opportunities available to team students these dancers traditionally grow in their dance and performing ability at a faster pace. Teams are made up of a combination between skill level and age. Auditions are at the end of May or you can contact Susan Crowther to set up a private audition. Team classes start in the middle of August. Preschool Offers stimulating academic classes along with performing arts (dance, tumbling, drama, music & Art).
