Dr. Keim was born in Manhattan, KS. His family moved to Casper, WY where he attended high school. He attended college at the University of Wyoming and the University of Utah, and he received his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Dr. Keim completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kansas in Wichita. He and his wife moved to Spearfish in 2003, where he has practiced internal medicine ever since. He has a special interest in osteoporosis and fracture prevention, and works with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized care plans for patients dealing with a loss of independence. Over the years he has been involved in organized medicine in his local community as well as at the state and national levels. Dr. Keim enjoys traveling with his wife, riding motorcycles and woodworking.
