Dr. Roslyn Oakley moved to Spearfish, SD with her husband after completing her Pediatrics Residency at Stanford University in June, 2019. Dr. Oakley knew pediatrics would be her life’s vocation after being distracted by any child present in the room during her medical school rotations, (for example babies on obstetrics while trying to take care of the moms, or children visiting family members in costumes during the month of October). She loves discussing childhood nutrition, teaching, and is passionate about reading and talking to little ones for language development. Her priority is to provide nurturing, family centered care from the moment a baby takes their first breathe to the day they go off to college. She met her husband in a mining city in the Atacama Desert of Chile and in her free time loves to cook Chilean food and travel with as many family members as possible on yearly trips ranging from Michigan to Easter Island.
