Geneva senior forward Ella Wilkison continues to prove that effort and determination matter. Despite being undersized for her position, she led the Vikings at the Dave Yates Shootout against Downers Grove North with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and a perfect 7 for 7 from the free throw line. Her performance earned her State Farm Player of the Week for the 2025 to 2026 season, as selected by the Geneva girls basketball coaching staff. The award recognizes players who make outstanding contributions on the court and represent the values of the Viking basketball programs. The commemorative basketball was donated by local State Farm representative Bill Nelson in support of Geneva athletics.
