Dr. Kim Caristi was born and raised in Parkersburg, WV. She attended Ohio University for her undergraduate studies, West Virginia University for medical school, and completed her Pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Caristi is one of the founding partners of Coastal Pediatric Associates and worked at Children's Medical Associates, a division of MUSC's Carolina Family Care, for 12 years before the establishment of Coastal Pediatric Associates in 2007. Since Coastal Pediatric Associates rejoined Carolina Family Care in March 2025, Dr. Caristi leads the Community Newborn Hospitalist team. In her free time, Dr. Caristi enjoys reading, traveling, listening to live music, and spending time with her husband, Michael, and their two grown sons, Tony and Joey, who both still call the Lowcountry home.
