Annie Plate, M.D. (formerly Annie Weber, M.D.), is a board certified orthopedic hand surgeon, specializing in fracture management, arthritis, nerve compression, joint replacement and microsurgery, at Baptist Health.Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Plate completed her hand and upper extremity fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During her residency, she received the University of Maryland Resident Researcher of the Year award and an AOTrauma North America’s 2019 Resident Research grant. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. A strong believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Plate served as a mentor for the University of Maryland School of Medicine Orthopaedic Interest Group, a counselor at Camp Open Arms and a member of the University of Maryland Medical Center Orthopaedics Resident Education Improvement Committee. Dr. Plate believes in building trusting, open and informative patient-physician relationships. With evidence-based, understandable healthcare plans, she provides the best treatment option to meet individual goals.When she is not treating patients, Dr. Plate enjoys activities on the water – sailing, snorkeling and SCUBA diving.
