Southwest Christian Hospice opened the first full-service hospice in-patient facility in Georgia in January 1987. We also offer home-care services for terminally-ill patients. Our Hope House Children's Respite Center opened in June 2002. We provide respite care to families with special needs children suffering from severe disabilities. We began our WeCare Saturday Respite Program, for less medically fragile children with autism, downs syndrome, and milder forms of cerebral palsy, in 2003. In 2007, we began our DayBreak Program serving senior adults with varying degrees of memory loss suffering early Alzheimer’s, as well as early dementia.
