As one of University Place’s Veteran owned businesses, I was honored to attend our community’s Veterans Day celebration along with Representative Mari Leavitt, Mayor Pro Tem Ed Wood COL US Army (retired), and LTC Megan Young - Commander of the 2-158 Assault Helicopter Battalion. We were led by the U.P. Scout Pack #148 in the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem was brilliantly sung by SGT Tricia Scheer of the 133rd WA National Guard. Although it was a cold and rainy PNW day, there’s no place I would rather have been.
