Since 2004, the Maui Pops Orchestra has entertained audiences of all ages and enriching the musical culture of Maui, its residents and visitors. The orchestra has had the pleasure of performing with outstanding guest artists from around the globe, including pianists Ian Parker and David Benoit, violinist Benjamin Baker, and vocalists Capathia Jenkins, Hugh Panaro and Debbie Gravitte, to name just a few. From within our own state, we have shared the stage with ukulele phenom Jake Shimabukuro, vocalists Keali'i Reichel, Na Leo Pilimehana, Keola Beamer, Henry Kapono, and Lily Meola, among others.
Our "Concerts for Keikis" have provided live orchestral performances that many Maui youth would not otherwise experience. As part of the Maui Pops' commitment to music education, some of Maui's most talented young musicians have been welcomed into the orchestra. Further, the Auriol Flavell Student Scholarship fund has benefited young Maui musicians pursuing higher education in the field of music.
