It is our purpose to fairly, honestly, and compassionately offer our help. We offer our help not only to families at a time of death, but also to individuals in planning before the funeral. Our help is available after the funeral through a wide range of services and resources. It is also evident in our involvement in the community.
We believe we have a responsibility in helping people make the right decisions for themselves by providing information and explaining options which are available. When a decision is reached, our help is available to carry out your instructions.
In 1946, C.P. Locke pledged that we would be "Where your wishes govern." That same pledge holds true today as we offer a four generation commitment to Integrity, Service, and Excellence. We measure our success by your satisfaction in our help.

What is changing at Locke Funeral Services?
We are growing! Construction has begun at Locke at Tower Park, a new, state-of-the art facility that will include a Life Celebration Center and expanded services. You will also notice some updates to the branding and names of our family of funeral homes in 2021.
Are any current locations relocating?
Yes. We will be relocating Kearns Funeral Service on Kimball Avenue in Waterloo and integrating those services into Locke at Tower Park. We will continue to operate Locke Funeral Services at our other three locations, including Locke Funeral Home on 4th Street in Waterloo, Garden View Chapel on Logan Avenue in Waterloo, and La Porte City Funeral Home.
Will any of your staff members be leaving?
Everyone in the Locke family and our entire staff plan to continue to work for Locke Funeral Services and look forward to the new facility and enhanced options coming soon. We plan to bring new jobs to Waterloo and add even more caring funeral professionals to help you when we open Locke at Tower Park.
Why did you decide to buy Kearns, Garden View, and La Porte City funeral homes?
We actually added these facilities to the Locke Funeral Services family in 2013. We have always been committed to innovation and growth, and adding facilities has allowed our brand to evolve to better meet the needs of our community. We will continue our evolution with our new facility, Locke at Tower Park.
Are your services changing?
Yes?but only in terms of expansion. We will continue to deliver the complete array of funeral and cremation services you have trusted Locke to provide for four generations, but we will add more contemporary options and services with the opening of Locke at Tower Park.
Will you still be offering grief support services?
Yes. We do not believe the role of a funeral home ends after the service. Ongoing grief counseling and support are essential services we provide to our community. The new Locke at Tower Park facility will house our Continuous Care Grief Support program.
Why are you updating the Locke Funeral Services brand?
We retained the existing names of funeral homes as we added them to the Locke family. We are now bringing those facilities into the Locke brand to tie all our offerings together. We want to assure all our customers that you will find the compassion, experience, and expertise you have come to expect from Locke at all of our locations.
