Perret, Ph.D. TMS, or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, is an evidence based treatment for adult depression which recently gained approval of the American Psychiatric Associate (APA) and Federal Drug Administration (FDA). TMS stimulates nerve-cells in the brain that are less active in depression.
