As a first-year medicine resident at Ohio State, Dr. Karikomi became fascinated with skin conditions with internal involvement, especially those with life-threatening or severe disease associations. He was elected as co-chief resident at the end of his second year. Dr. Karikomi enjoys the challenge of making complex diagnoses and facilitating effective treatments to help patients. He has given many lectures on skin signs of systemic disease and has taught family practice and medicine residents. Dr. Karikomi enjoys connecting with his patients while embracing his role as leader, setting goals and visions, and empowering his wonderful staff.
