How I became a Successful Real estate agent. My passion started way before I became an agent when I decided one day to sell my home after enjoying living there for 14 yrs. I had a local agent come in and do a CMA on my 1,000 Sqft ranch with no basement. She told me that she would list it at $199,000. I knew my home was worth more than that and that I was going to get $245,000. She along with other agents from the area thought I was crazy when I told them that was my goal price.. Well guess what!!!! I held an open house and I had 40 families come through and received 3 offers. To make a long story short, it SOLD that day. It was a cash deal and closed in two weeks! A few months later, I went to my local tanning salon and was talking with the owner and she had mention that she needed to sell her salon to be home with her grand children... That day I went to pick up my children at school and saw a friend that was friendly and creative with a fun personality who loved volunteering at our school function and thought she would be perfect. So I asked her if she would be interested in buying a tanning salon. Guess what!!!! That day they shook hand and now my friend owns a successful tanning salon in Rocky Hill Ct. That's the day I said to myself I need to be a real estate agent and start making money doing what I love. In 2008 I got my license and have been enjoying working with buyers and sellers in the Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, Glastonbury, Newington, and surrounding local area. I had the honor of working with my twin sister and Brother in-law at their family Real Estate business in Wallingford Ct. Dan Combs Real Estate in Wallingford for almost 7 yrs I became a Five Star Real Estate agent in 2010-2013...After recently taking a yr. off of work It was with great sadness that I had to relocate to be closer to home. Now I am building my business with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Wethersfield Ct and I am working along side my older sister in that office. I still see my twin sister a lot since we are proud owners of our Furniture Consignment shop in Rocky Hill Ct. Lily Madison Consignment. Our business helps homeowners that are selling their home to unload and to down size by bring their furniture in to consign and make extra money!!!! I offer 1 hr.
