Dr. Joseph Geffen is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with clinical interests in wound care, geriatrics, and public health.
Dr. Geffen earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville.
As a provider, Dr. Geffen loves to bond with his patients and help educate them about health and provide counseling for long-term positive lifestyle changes. “I feel VIPcare is revolutionary in that they will provide me with resources to be successful in what drew me to medicine in the first place: doctoring,” Dr. Geffen said.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Professional Wound Healing Association, American Osteopathic Association, Florida Medical Association, and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
“I find learning about scientific advances very exciting,” said Dr. Geffen. “What keeps me practicing, though, is the relationships. There is no other field where you can meet someone who would otherwise be a stranger, and after a few months, feel like you are talking to family.”
When Dr. Geffen isn’t practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, reading books and journals, and playing the piano.
