We are always trying to make changes for the better around here to make our space more efficient! The team worked remote for a few days while the workers added a new kitchenette by our break room, added new, hanging lights to the offices, and 2 windows to my office so I can access both areas of our office easily. Excited about the new changes!

My family spent time in Olathe, Kansas this summer for our son to attend MNU basketball camp where I played in college. What is even more special is the current head coach, Adam (also my old roommate and friend) is married to our fabulous remote team member Amy Hepker! They run this entire camp and do an amazing job.  I spent time up at the gym in the coaches office working while the camp was going on. Amy is such a hard worker, good coworker and does such a wonderful job with customers. Our family has a special friendship with this family and so glad to have Amy on our State Farm team!

We had back to school donuts 🍩 the other morning as a family before meet the teacher. Our family always enjoys getting back into a routine with school. I think we can all take a note in starting over. Just like I tell my kids, you can start the new year fresh and have new goals, friendships and be a new you. Hope everyone’s school year is off to a great start, but in the same breath TGIF!

We got to celebrate Joe today with a surprise baby shower! We had an office meeting and then ended with “Taco Bout a Baby” themed lunch and cookies. He opened presents and we played a hilarious game of smelling the dirty diapers that had melted candy bars in them and guessing what they were. Pictures are a little graphic so they will be in common instead of on the main feed. Congrats Joe and Sydney!
We had a delicious office thanksgiving themed lunch to go alongside our team meeting! We enjoy the monthly themed luncheons as a team. We have the best team! They spent a lot of time making Kiburzopoly-a fully functioning playable board game all based on insurance. They made cards and everything. I can’t wait to play them!
Are you winter ready?  With all the ice and snow that is expected this week, make sure you have your house prepared! Some easy things you can do to help prevent issues are the following:
- drip sinks
-leave sink cabinet doors open
-if a pipe does freeze-put a space heater facing the pipe
-disconnect outdoor hoses
-Know where your main waterline shut off valve is
-cover outdoor faucets (I.e. picture! This set of 4 arrives same day in okc)
-consider heated tape
-warm up car before going anywhere
-keep an ice scraper in your car, gloves, hot hands, and of course,  fully charged phone, a jacket
Popcorn and a movie in the middle of the day!  Okay, just kidding. We watched a  five minute clip, but did enjoy popcorn and candy like we were at the movies.  Learning can be fun.

They had 10 minutes to work together to build the tallest tower that could stand for at least 15 seconds using only the two ingredients. The goal was to-1. Collaborate effectively in teams to achieve a common goal.2. Analyze and evaluate design decisions 3. Practice communication skills through planning and sharing ideas.

Hit a big goal in November and the team earned another fun outing during the workday! Pedicures at Mays Salon in Yukon! Guys did a different outing that afternoon! Work hard play hard!
Spending time together outside the office is so important! We love celebrating our wins and strengthening our team bond. Had a great time at Main Event enjoying arcade games, appetizers, and drinks—looking forward to the next outing!

The guys had a fun outing to Wilshire Gun Range! We hit some goals and the girls went and got pedicures and the guys went to the range. It was so enjoyable and it's always nice to get to connect as a team outside the office. These activities help us get to know one another more and be a more cohesive unit. As a result, it helps us be an even better team to help our customers!

Our team went to the new Five Iron Golf in Yukon and had a blast. This was the perfect indoor activity and they also have alot of food and drinks. Our team keeps crushing goals and we get to explore all the amazing outings our city offers!
We work hard and play harder! One team chose Emma Elle’s in Yukon as their prize after months of friendly competition. Great food and even better company made for a fun lunch while the rest of the office held things down.
Last week, I had the honor of speaking at a State Farm meeting for some of the top agents in Kansas. I was invited to share my best practices around helping customers with financial services products. This is a topic I’m passionate about and it was a great opportunity to share my experiences with other high performing agents and contribute ideas that can help us all better serve the communities we live in and protect what matters most.

You may be wondering how I got here?💦We had a whiteboard with all of our goals from 2023 and every team member got a chance to help wash away the board clean with water. I think they enjoyed getting me more wet than the actual board. 😂 We are ready to crush 2024 with new goals, a motivated drive, and the best team team ever! Next year they might prefer a dunk tank for me though. Jeff enjoyed this activity more than anyone.🤭

We had a fun team outing last week at Chicken N Pickle! We played pickleball and enjoyed some food. This group keeps hitting monthly goals and earning these fun outings. I mean who wouldn’t want to leave work in the middle of the day for a little fun?! I love our team and am proud of all we have accomplished! 🥳🥳🥳
