Australian Banking Directory
The Australian banking sector is mostly controlled by “Big Four” major banks:
the Commonwealth Bank of Australia
the Westpac Banking Corporation
the Banking Group of Australia and New Zealand
and the National Australian Bank (NAB).
There are also several smaller banks are represented in the local market, and a large number of other financial institutions, such as credit unions, construction companies and mutual banks, which provide limited banking services and are called authorized depository institutions.
