Dr Coffey is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University. He has a particular interest in primary and revision hip and knee replacement as well as lower limb reconstruction and sports injuries. Dr Coffey has been in specialist orthopaedic practice since 1997. He has held senior clinical administrative roles as department head and AOA State Chairman. He continues to be actively involved in student and registrar training. He is a regular invited guest lecturer at instructional courses in joint replacement held within Australia and internationally. Dr Coffey is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Australian Medical Association. Dr Coffey’s specials interests are Primary Hip and Knee Replacement,Unicompartment Replacement (including Patellofemoral Replacement), Revision Hip and Knee Replacement, Knee Reconstruction, Patellofemoral Instability Problems and Arthroscopic Knee Surgery.
