Dr Patterson studied Medicine for six years at the University of London and obtained a further honours degree in Anatomy from University College London. She achieved entry into the Royal College of Physicians in London having gained experience as a General Medical doctor in hospitals, work in cardiology, surgery, paediatrics, infectious diseases and others.
As a result, she was then eligible for the extremely competitive selection process to be considered for a training position as a Dermatologist. She says she will always remember the moment she found out she had been awarded her place for Oxford, UK - she was absolutely ecstatic!
