Design Ventures exhibited its first furniture and furnishings collections at the Philippine Furniture Fair in Manila in 1990. Having popularized the use of ceramic tiles on furniture, product research and development has always been the company's top priority. In 1993 Debbie won for the Design Ventures the coveted KATHA award for Best Product Collection in the Manila fair with her Water Buffalo line in terracotta tiles and metal.
