Syksyllä 2004 pääomasijoitusyhtiö 3i ja yhtiön toimiva johto ostivat Kemira Fine Chemicalsin Kemiralta, nimeksi vaihtui KemFine. Saksalainen kemianalan konserni CABB osti KemFinen vuonna 2011 ja näin KemFinen nimi muuttui CABB Oy:ksi. CABB Oy:n tuotannon taustalla on alusta saakka ollut monivaiheinen, orgaaninen synteesi.
