The innovative design covering is suitable for laying on all flat, firm, crack-free and permanently dry substrates. To improve the adhesive strength, manufacturers recommend pretreating the surface with a primer. On the smooth and grease-free floor, the planks and tiles can then develop optimal adhesive power.
Self-adhesive vinyl flooring is available in various total thicknesses between 2mm and 3mm. Thanks to this low installation height, you can cover your old flooring with the self-adhesive vinyl floor without having to laboriously remove it beforehand. Even under doors or floor-to-ceiling windows, the flat sheets almost always fit underneath. Your old flooring should definitely be flat and even, because joints or similar unevenness can easily be seen under the thin floorboards and tiles.
