The owner and principal Optometrist at Devereaux Optometrist is John Devereaux (B.App.Sc.Optom.Hon Grad Dip Ocular Therapuetics). John studied Optometry at Queensland University of Technology and graduated in 1991. He is a member of The Optometrist's Association of Australia and regularly participates in Professional Development Programmes to ensure currency of skills.
John is committed to achieving the best vision results while also monitoring his patient's long term eye health. John's standard of care involves dilating his patients' pupils to take photographs of the macula and scans of the retina. These images are used to follow, diagnose and treat eye diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma and macula degeneration.
