Consultancy and Training company specialising in Certificate IV in surface coal mining (OCE). This is the underpinning knowledge and skill required to apply for and then sit the Open Cut Examiner Exams. Bickford Training and Consultancy was formed in 2001 and has provided great value consultancy and training services for the past 20 years. Based in Mackay Central Queensland we service clients within a 500 km radius of Mackay. We typically take or products and services to the client and facilitate the learning or consultancy events at our clients premise. We have assisted many corporate clients and individuals with professional development needs. While providing professional development for experienced coal mine workers (individuals) to attain their Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency has become our specialty, we have also assisted corporations with small groups of experienced coal mine workers to achieve their Open Cut Examiners Certificate as well. We have been instrumental in developing and refining a fast track program in association with local Registered Training Organisations. This fast track program can be tailored to suit your business need. We have have been able to achieve a very good success rate for organisations who engage us for the full program. The full program includes the learning and development phase (Certificate IV in surface coal mining) and then preparation firstly for the written exam and then oral exam. This full program can be facilitated at a rate that suits your need. Typically the coal mine workers become full time or part-time students to complete the learning events (There are 6 key Units of study - with the potential of another being added). A unit can be facilitated in 2/3 days with 2/3 days required to complete the on-job activities. We can even provide a facilitator for this portion of the learning (subject to site induction requirements etc)
