Australian computer society performs skill assessment as a visa application process. It will determine if the qualification and experience meet the suitability criteria.
There are mainly four application types available for migration purposes.
1. Temporary Graduate (TG)
2. Post-Australian Study (PAS)
3. Skills Assessment (Skills)
4. Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is for those applicants having insufficient qualification or those who belong to from non-ICT backgrounds.
Criteria for RPL assessment
- Qualification assessed as an AQF Diploma or higher and insufficient ICT qualification, you need six years of work experience in the relevant field.
- Lack of tertiary educational qualification requires eight years of work experience in the relevant field.

Project report Criteria

You need two project reports on how you gained your ICT knowledge and skills. The project report should present the details of your career episode enough to support the claimed ICT knowledge.
Out of the two project reports you submit, one must relate to a project undertaken within the last three years. The other project must be undertaken within the last five years during your ICT employment.
The depth and strong foundation should be reflected in your project report.
Your report will be rejected if you are found copying from other sources. It must be original and your roles should reflect in your work.
