Melanie Jansen specialises in providing Child Centred Play Therapy to children aged 4 - 8 years. She is also available to work with children in other modalities (5 - 12 years), provide counselling to teenagers (up to 17 years), and provide parenting support for care givers. Melanie is a Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and an Associate Member with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She completed tertiary studies in Psychology at Curtin University of Technology, Bentley. Her post-tertiary studies, clinical practice and passion have since been focussed on working with children, adolescents and their care givers. Melanie has completed a Certificate of Play Therapy with Play Therapy Australia for specialist training in Child Centred-Play Therapy. Medicare rebates may apply to services. If you have a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, Medicare can rebate up to 10 counselling sessions per calendar year under the Better Access Initiative. The rebate is $84.80 per 50 minute session and once payment is made in full for each session, you can lodge a claim through Medicare with your tax invoice.
