Sealy is a wholly Australian owned, leading manufacturer of luxury mattresses and bedding.
Sealy has a long history of making quality beds. The first Sealy mattresses were made in 1881, in a small town called ‘Sealy’ in Texas, USA. In 1950, Sealy introduced its first Sealy Posturepedic brand mattress, the only mattress in the industry that focused on the importance of correct back support, designed in cooperation with Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Sealy of Australia is a wholly owned company that began trading in Brisbane in 1923 as Madad Pty Ltd. The company originally built furniture and bedding components. In the late 1960's it began manufacturing the Sealy brand under licence from Sealy Inc. in the U.S.A.
